John of Gaunt’s Year 13 pupils travelled to Cumberwell Park Golf Club, Bradford on Avon, in various modes of transport for their prom.
Perhaps the most usual was Ryan Smith's plastic toy car.
The evening included a buffet and awards handed out to the best dressed boy and girl, as well as the best couple, before students and staff hit the dance floor for a disco.
Helen Kerr, assistant head of the Trowbridge school, who co-ordinated the event with students, said: “It was a lovely evening in every respect. The weather was gorgeous and the students were in great form.
"It was a joyful event and we celebrated all of the students’ many achievements.
“They have been an absolutely fantastic bunch of students and we wish them all the very best in the future.”
