Florist Kate Howard has created a unique bouquet to help raise money for a Dorothy House hospice memorial appeal.

The Dotty bouquet prices start at £30 and they will be on sale at her Hedge Rose shop in London Road, Marlborough, until the end of the year, with 15 per cent being donated to the charity.

During Breast Cancer Awareness month, in October, Hedge Rose will raise the donation to 20 per cent.

Ms Howard was inspired to create the bouquet after seeing the support Dorothy House gave her friend, Naomi Handford-Jones, who died of cancer at the hospice last September, at the age of 51.

She said: “Naomi was always very supportive of my work, so I thought this would be a nice way to raise money towards the Dorothy House Tulip Fund set up in her memory.

“I have already walked Hadrian’s Wall with Naomi’s sister and a group of friends and I am hoping sales of the bouquet will help me reach my target of £2,000.”

“Each bouquet will be in the Dorothy House colours of pinks, blues and purples, which also happen to be a very popular colour combination for flowers.”

The bouquets can be ordered at www.hedgeroseflorist.co.uk, on (01672) 514718 or in the shop.
