POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a robbery that occurred in the Shaw Village Centre on Wednesday night.
At approximately 21.00hrs on July 30, a man was sat on the grass close to the village centre when he was approached by two white men and a white woman with long dark hair. The suspects then threatened the man with violence so that he would give them his money.
In particular, police would like to speak to a good samaritan who witnessed this incident. This helpful member of the public spoke to the victim, who was very shaken afterwards.
Detective Constable Greg Farmery from Swindon Police said: “This incident left the victim feeling very shaken and upset, as he was threatened by this man and woman. I would like to find these suspects before they target anyone else in this way and the person who stopped to talk to the victim may have vital information that would assist the investigation. I would urge them to get in touch with police to help us.”
Anyone with further information or if you believe you witnessed this incident please call 101 and ask for DC 1794 Greg Farmery on 101 or alternatively ring crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
