CHARITY The Open Door Centre has started a fundraising challenge to raise money for a dishwasher which will improve its day to day activities.
The centre, based in Ferndale Road, Gorse Hill, supports adults with learning difficulties.
It wants to buy a £750 industry-standard dishwasher and are welcoming public donations.
Pat Winning, deputy manager, said: “We do meals for 40 people every day and run a public cafe on Fridays and have lots of washing up to do so it would make our life easier. Also following our last inspection we were advised to get a dishwasher otherwise our hygiene rating of five would fall to three and we don’t want that to be the case.”
