THE SITE manager of a new housing development in Royal Wootton Bassett has been given a prestigious national housebuilding award.

Robert Barry, who has been working at the Jubilee Park Development which is owned by developers Taylor Wimpey, beat off stiff competition to be honoured with an NHBC (National House-Building Council) Pride in the Job Quality Award.

Robert’s was one of 15,000 entries from around the UK, and the award recognises his dedication to building high-quality homes for new homebuyers.

Robert said: “It’s a great honour not just for me but the whole team at Jubilee Park. They all work incredibly hard and take great pride in ensuring that the homes we build are completed to the highest possible standards.

“It’s great to have reached this stage of the competition and to be recognised by the industry in this way.”

Pride in the Job Quality Awards are presented following a stringent judging process by NHBC inspectors, who perform spot checks and continuous assessment of developments throughout the year.

Robert will progress to the regional heats in the autumn. If he is successful he will continue on to the Supreme Awards gala final in London in January.
