INSPIRED by the Commonwealth Games, shoppers at the Parade got sporty with some family fun games.
A running track was set up outside Debenhams and families took part in traditional sports day events such egg and spoon races and sack races.
After each race children were then given the opportunity to make their own medals at the craft station.
Brian Morris, the Parade Centre Manager, said: “It was great to see so many families laughing and enjoying themselves.
“As well as great shopping that’s what the Parade is all about. The windy weather certainly made the egg and spoon races rather challenging but it was good fun all round and wonderful to see so many children proudly wearing their medals around the Parade.”
