Book lovers in Corsham will have reason to celebrate tomorrow as the town’s new library opens to the public at 10am.
The former library on Pickwick Road closed on Saturday, July 26, with all its books, documents and DVDs relocated to a new home at the Springfield Campus.
Community librarian Jessica Phillips said: “It’s all looking good. We are all very excited.”
The new library will be staffed partly by volunteers, meaning it will now have extended opening hours. Books can still be taken and returned at the new electronic self-service terminals, even when no staff are present.
To celebrate the opening, children are invited to a knights and princesses themed activity session from 10.30am to noon.
