Tadpole Farm show home to open doors soon

This Is Wiltshire: Tadpole Farm show home to open doors soon Tadpole Farm show home to open doors soon

DIGGERS have moved on to the site at Tadpole Farm where a new primary school is to be built.

The school was scheduled to be ready in September but due to delays in building an access road to the site it was put back a year.

As a result the school will be housed for its first year in a community centre being built in Redhouse.

Work on the access road is now nearing completion which means building of the 1,400 house development could soon start.

The building of the primary school was brought forward to help deal with the excess demand for places in North Swindon. As part of that agreement, developers Crest Nicholson were able to build a number of show homes.

A spokeswoman said: “Work on the access road is under way, with a view to the first sections coming into use from the autumn. As a result the council have been able to move on to the site this week “We started work on its first show home for Tadpole Garden Village and this is due to open to the public this autumn.”

The school was delayed by 6 months not a year.... Don't tell me the councillors have allowed the developers to pull another fast one.

Funny how they have managed to get show homes built though, when there is little work done on the access road let alone the school....! Both of which were conditions of allowing he show homes.

Croft Primary will be open for two years now this September, yet the area that really desperately needed a primary is still waiting. Hard to believe the sheep in N. Swindon voted in Conservative councillors (despite Conservative led SBC building Croft school first and using N. Swindon s106 money at Croft) baaarmy.

So do you believe that any other bunch of councillors would be better then in all seriousness? Or is it just another case of this lot are useless so let's try someone else who may or may not be better or worse? That seems to be so many peoples decision making process for voting these days I was just wondering?

Unfortunately, voting one bunch of arrogant bigots out, by replacing them with others, is the only option we have.
It would be good (though extremely unlikely) if areas known to vote purely red or blue would read local media and oust out some of the more obvious clowns.
Swindon will never improve until that happens
