Warminster man facing hoax bomb charge in court
A Warminster man appeared at Swindon Magistrates' Court yesterday charged with threatening behaviour, making a hoax bomb and failing to surrender to police bail.
Neil Prince, 51, from Bishopstrow, will now appear at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on September 12. He is currently in custody with pre-release conditions.
Prince was arrested by police and taken to Melksham Police Station, after officers found several small explosives in Eastleigh Wood.
The devices were found at 5pm on Saturday.
A police cordon was in place at the privately-owned field in the wood for two days and a bomb disposal team was on site yesterday morning. The cordon was removed yesterday evening.
Prince has also been charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon. These two charges relate to an incident in October 2013.
