Pupils at Dauntsey’s celebrated outstanding GCSE results this morning, with a remarkable 47.3% of nearly 1200 entries awarded an A* grade - a new school record - while 76.5% of all entries were at A* or A grade.

Twelve pupils gained a clean sweep of ten A* grades: Ceri Beasant, Dominic Bernard, Rosie Coles, Matthew Fisher, Lorna Frankel, Millie Jones, Emily Neve, Rebecca Newman, Lloyd Ollerhead, Isabella Skelley, Olivia Welch and Henry Williams.

In addition, 43 of the 127 candidates achieved all A* or A grades and 74 pupils achieved eight or more A* or A grades.

Headteacher Mark Lascelles said he was delighted with such excellent grades and was particularly pleased that the results recognised the top performers as well as the good number of pupils who exceeded their own expectations, adding that the results were a just reward for the strong work ethic of the pupils and the dedication of the staff.

"The GCSE results this year continue Dauntsey’s tradition of high academic achievement and the school looks forward to welcoming over 36 new pupils to join this splendid year group in the Lower Sixth in September," he said.
