All rosy at Corsham garden society show
This year’s Corsham Garden Society annual show attracted more than 600 entries, from floral art, produce and cookery to photography, drawing an audience of more than 100.
Society secretary Maureen Cundict said: “It went very well. The new venue at Corsham campus was superb because it was light and bright and spacious to lay out all the tables.
“It was a great atmosphere and lovely afternoon. It was nice seeing and talking to people as they looked around.”
A variety of produce was on show including potatoes, leeks, tomatoes and peas. Some of the biggest were onions weighing in at 4lbs and a marrow topping 46lbs, grown by a 13-year-old boy.
Fruit and vegetable judge Brian Messam said: “It is the best show I’ve judged so far this year.”
