WALKING boots were laced up tight as more than 40 people walked 17 miles from Melksham to Bath on Saturday.

The Big Walk, organised by Cllr Jon Hubbard and staff at the Co-op and Asda, raised thousands of pounds for local
charities Hope for Tomorrow, which funds mobile chemotherapy units, and Melksham Extended Services.

Cllr Hubbard said: “I’m not sure I have ever ached as much as I did at the
finish but it was well worth it.

“I thank everyone involved for their amazing efforts and the money raised will make a big difference to both charities.

“I’m determined The Big Walk will return next year and will hopefully be even more successful.”
