PACING the streets of Bradford on Avon paid off for Valerie Knight, the winner of a Tour of Britain Bike Trail.
The trail was organised by bike shop TT Cycles in Frome Road, to tie in with the race coming through the town on Friday.
People had three weeks to find 12 bikes with the names of famous cyclists on them, with the chance of winning a new bicycle.
Winner Valerie Knight was one of 200 entries, 160 of which had correct answers, and she walked away with a Ridgeback ladies’ hybrid.
She said: “I did it over two days and walked it all as I don’t have a car. The furthest I walked was from the Dog and Fox in Ashley to The Boathouse in Trowbridge Road.
“Lots of people were Tweeting and texting the answers, so I was a bit miffed, but I was blown away to hear I had won. “
Mark Ashley, manager of TT Cycles, said: “For our first one it was really good and hopefully made people go to places they don’t normally go.”
