Stuart Hershbein was airlifted to Frenchay Hospital by Wiltshire Air Ambulance in ten minutes after he collapsed at his home in Maiden Bradley, near Warminster, on August 6, 2012.
An MRI scan identified hydrocephalus (fluid on the brain) and he had a life-saving operation.
A new dad, he speaks of his optimism for the future and how he now volunteers for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust.
This is the second patient's account video the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust has released for National Air Ambulance Week, which started yesterday.
