TWO firms in Malmesbury have got off to a good start ahead of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, being held nationwide tomorrow in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Advertising agencies Premier Concepts Health Media and Small Steps Parenting have been baking cakes to help raise more than £200.

As well as buying delicious cakes, everyone also made a donation to wear casual clothes for the day.

Managing director Helen Adams said: “The team of over 30 staff had a lot of fun baking and supporting the charity – everyone enjoys a lovely cake!”

Macmillan Cancer Support’s coffee morning event started in 1990 and has grown each year with more than 150,000 people taking part in 2013, raising more than £20m to help change the lives of people affected by cancer.

All across the county dozens are taking part, including the newly opened Springfield Community Campus in Corsham and Heddington Primary School, where head teacher Ashley Martin will take the ice bucket challenge.
