Fantastic Mr Fox and some Oompa Loompas were seen at Wansdyke School in Devizes as part of a charity dress-up day.

Children and staff across the whole school dressed as characters from the books of Roald Dahl or in his favourite colour, yellow.

It was part of the Dahlicious Dress-up Day, which is in its fourth year.

Hundreds of schools and workplaces across the country got involved, with it being the first time Wansdyke had taken part.

The school are hoping to have raised at least £200 for the Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity, which helps seriously ill children and young people in the UK.

Jenny Violette, reception class teacher and organiser of the event, said: “It was amazing and the children had a great day and knew why they were dressing up in costume.

“Everyone took part in Roald Dahl related activities and parents got behind the event and we had some fantastic costumes.”
