Year 6 children from Westbury Junior School recently returned from an action-packed three days at Hooke Court residential centre, near Beaminster in Dorset.
More than 60 children enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities including shelter building, barn dancing, team building games and foraging and cooking wild food.
They were able to develop new skills and practice working as a team in the beautiful local woodland surroundings.
Despite some rather wet weather, both children and staff had a great time.
Class teacher Rebecca Young said “Our children gained a huge amount from this visit and experienced many new and exciting activities.”
