CHILDREN at Hazelwood Academy spent a day learning about different cultures and the six most common faiths as part of World Religion Day.
Each class at the primary school in Stokesay Drive learned more about one of the six most prevalent world religions.
These included Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Sikhism.
They then came together at the end of the day to share what they had learned with the rest of the school.
RE co-ordiantor Leah Breeze said: βIt is important for children to learn about other religions and develop an awareness of different cultures and ways of life to make them more well-rounded adults and have an awareness of the vasrious different belief systems.β
As well as learning about the different religions the children also had a visit from a parent who talked about Hinduism and led them in a dance workshop.
