Melksham swingers given more time and room

Angels Swingers Club in Melksham will be expanding into an extra two units in Avonside Enterprise Park which were previously used by pole dancing fitness studio Pole-Da-Cise.

The club’s plans were lodged with Wiltshire Council in November by owner Steve Rumens, who declined to talk to the Wiltshire Times about the expansion, and were approved last Monday.

Melksham Town Council did not object.

Angels Swingers opened in October 2011.

Some nearby businesses expressed concern at the time, but Melksham police have not had any reports of crime or disorder linked to the premises.

The club will also extend its opening hours.

It will now be open Wednesday noon-8pm, Thursday 8.30pm-1am, Friday 9.30pm-4.30am, Saturday 8.30pm-4.30am and Sunday 2-11pm.

Reference "angels".

This artical has been written in error by the Wiltshire times.

Unfortunately the incompetent writter and editor have published a wholly incorrect story.

Pole Da Cise is not a Pole Dancing studio, it is a Pole fitness and dance studio specialising in fitness. Who have raised in excess of £30,000 for local charities over the past few years and strive to promote their sport as an accepted form of fitness.

Pole Da Cise moved out of the two units stated in the article two years ago and are not, and have never been associated with Angels.

All of the Pole da cise staff and members will be insulted that the Wiltshire times has made such a rediculouse error in publishing this artical attempting to link the swinger club with the Pole Da Cise fitness dance studios, who are still located at Avonside but in a more suitably refurbished new unit.

I am sure that all of the Pole Da Cise members will look forward to the public apology from the sed incompetent author and editor of the Wiltshire Times and the removal of this incorrect article.

Stuart Henderson - your grammar is appalling. Each to their own, nice to hear of a business expanding in this day and age, especially in a small town!

freedom.is/BIG says...

Strange how everyone accepts as natural that horizontal poles are an Olympic sport, yet vertical poles are a strip show, even when using ribbons to illustrate acrobatics, unless it's in a circus, unless that's a dodgy circus, unless children are involved (Maypole dancing). It's an irrational blizzard of assumptions.
