Members of Climate Friendly Bradford on Avon, including local MP Duncan Hames and Green Party candidate Tina Johnston, celebrated the signing of a cross-party agreement to take action on climate change on Valentine's Day.
It followed a week in which hundreds of thousands of people across the UK ‘showed their love’ for all that could be lost to climate change. CFBoA members joined in, and highlighted some of the things they love most that could be lost.
“Show the Love with all its green hearts was a lovely way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, and mark this important agreement,” said Jane Laurie, a member of CFBoA.
“The agreement helps provide the political certainty that business needs for low carbon investment. It also sets a worldwide example in the climate change negotiations leading up to the Paris climate summit this year.
“It’s an important step in securing a brighter future for our children and families, and protecting so many of the things we love.”
