THE glamour of Hollywood came to Corsham Primary School as pupils took to the red carpet for their very own Oscars ceremony.
Staff and pupils celebrated their achievements together last week and were awarded their own Oscar statues, certificates and Easter treats.
Some of the awards included ‘spectacular Spanish speakers’, ‘imaginative puppet creating and sewing in DT’ and ‘terrific teamwork’.
The school hall was decorated for the event with golden statues, balloons and lights and all the staff wore black tie and dinner gowns while the children created Easter bonnets for the occasion.
Deputy headteacher Kerry Parker said: “It was a fabulous celebration of learning both by the children and adults.
"It is a great way to show everyone how their efforts are appreciated for all the wonderful things they do.”
