A NEW Harry Potter trail is opening this summer at Lacock Abbey.
The medieval Cloisters at the Abbey have featured heavily in the blockbuster movies and Abbey bosses have unveiled plans for the new feature in the grounds.
The news comes as the Fox Talbot Museum and the grounds of Lacock Abbey prepare to open for the first time in 2007 this weekend.
From Saturday, there will be opportunities to see the popular portrait photography exhibition and the spring flower displays blooming in the grounds of the famous Abbey.
The Cloisters will also be open while the Abbey itself opens on March 24.
The events programme has something for everyone this year, with a monthly lecture programme, kicking off on March 7.
In early April, there are circus skills, arts and crafts events as well as Easter trails.
Although Lacock Abbey doesn't open until March 24, it will be opening for a special Mother's Day event the previous weekend. Later in the year, the Proms return to Lacock on July 7 and one of the highlights of the year brings the classic opera The Magic Flute to Lacock on August 18.
Karen Gilbert, visitor services manager at Lacock said: "Our events programme will cater for most people this year."
