Small and furry Easter fun for kids, by David Jones, store manager at Pets at Home Swindon Bridgemead

To celebrate super furry small animals, once again our Swindon stores will be providing Easter holiday fun for children with a series of free pet workshops.

Our My Pet Pals Easter activity club will be held throughout the Easter holidays with fun and interactive activities to educate the next generation of pet owners on how to care for small furry animals responsibly.

Our store team will be on hand to share their knowledge, quizzing children on pet care in a ‘furry friends trail’. They’ll also help children get crafty and create their own pet puppets to become their own furry character. Not only that, they’ll also get the chance to meet the ‘stars’ of the workshops including hamsters, gerbils and guinea pigs, and assist the store team by providing them with a nutritious afternoon snack!

After completing the workshops, each child will receive a certificate and sticker, and a pet promise card where they make a pledge to look after any pet they have according to the five welfare needs, covering habitat, health, wellbeing, diet and behaviour. Each child will also get the chance to enter our in-store colouring competition.

Visit our website or ask us in-store to secure your child’s place.
