A YATTON Keynell nursery that has been without a home since November 2013 reopened on Monday in Calne.

Tiny Bubbles had to move out of its mobile building in the grounds of By Brook Valley School in Yatton Keynell as the main school expanded.

Manager Claire Wilson was eventually approached by the manager of Jester’s Adventure Play, Tracy Taylor, who offered the nursery the use of the first floor space of its building on the Porte Marsh Industrial Estate.

Ms Wilson, 50, who has spent the last 18 months child minding at her Chippenham home, said: “We are really excited.”

“I think Calne needs a new nursery which is good. "

Deputy manager Karl Walker said: “A lot of the children wanted to stay with us even when we didn’t have the premises so child-minding was the obvious thing to do to keep the families.”

The nursery, which sits in a large space above the adventure play area and can accommodated up to 46 children, will open from 8am to 6pm.

Children attending Little Bubbles nursery will have access to Jester’s play area, should they need it, as well as receiving a hot and healthy meal at lunchtime from the downstairs kitchen.

The bright new nursery space, open to children from birth to five years old, includes a baby room, toddler room and an outdoor area.

The nursery is already harbouring hopes of an expanding to host holiday clubs in the summer.

Tracy Taylor, manager of Jester’s Adventure Play, said: “It’s a win-win for both of us; it means Claire has a space for the nursery and we get the space used for rent.”
