A fire which broke out at a workshop on Cricklade Road this morning took more than two hours to successfully extinguish.
The blaze, which was reported at 9.32am on the day of the play-off final, started in a workshop close to Poplar Avenue in Gorse Hill.
After receiving the call reporting the fire this morning crews from Wiltshire Fire and Rescue attended the scene of the blaze at a workshop.
There were no casualties at the scene with the blaze extinguished two hours later and fire crews leaving the scene at 12.22.
A fire investigation crew has been sent out to determine the cause of the blaze
A Wiltshire Fire Service spokesman said
“Today we attended a workshop fire near Poplar Avenue in Gorse Hill.
“We were called out at 9.32am and we were in attendance five minutes later at 9:37am.
“Two fire engines were sent, we used a couple of breathing apparatus, hose jets and a thermal imaging camera and fire investigation was conducted.
"The incident was closed at 12:22 with the scene declared safe. No-one was hurt in the incident.”
