THE Woodlands Edge pub has re-opened after undergoing a makeover – including the installation of TV screens in selected booths.
Work on the pub, part of the Hungry Horse chain, began on May 5 and was completed in just over two weeks.
On May 21, punters at the Midwinter Close venue were able to check out new carpets, wallpaper and fresh paintwork throughout, and a new layout in the restaurant area, with additional seating and new booths with their own TVs.
The bar area also has a new look and new bar, and a new sports viewing area includes a projector screen, additional TVs and an upgraded sound system.
Pub manager Nick Homer said: “The pub was in need of a bit of a refresh and the makeover was just the job.
The difference it has made is amazing.
“Customers can meet for breakfast, lunch and an evening meal at a reasonable price all in fresh, bright and friendly surroundings.
“I think customers old and new will be surprised by all the changes and I am confident sports fans will love our improved sports viewing area.”
