POLICE are appealing for information following the shocking discovery of raw meat laced with poison in a Trowbridge playing field yesterday.
Officers invited members of the public to join a search to find all the meat that had been left in the playing field in Seymour Road, Trowbridge, yesterday evening.
Members of the public willing to help out were told to meet officers at the bottom of Langford Road, near Seymour Road, where they would be waiting with bags for the meat to be picked up and put into.
“We have had it confirmed that raw meat that has been laced with poison has been left on the playing field at Seymour Road, Trowbridge,” said a police spokesman.
“Wiltshire Police are asking for the public’s help to gather up any meat found, some has been left under dry grass.”
