THE free Stratton Festival returns on Saturday for its third year, which organisers are expecting to be the biggest and best so far.

Taking place at Grange Leisure, Grange Drive, the event is due to kick off at midday with a Swindon Town FC surprise guest and Miss Wiltshire with some extra pizzazz from Cheerleaders who are at the festival throughout the day.

For the kids there’s hair braiding, face painting and Colonel Custard on tour with his balloon modelling, circus workshop and magic show.

There will be craft tent, dance displays and Swindon Symphony Orchestra and for the energetic, free Zumba and Power Hoop, junior football coaching sessions and American Football taster sessions.

Join in our Tug of War at 4pm and see who is stronger when England Footie teams go head-to-head with American footie teams!

The live music will continue throughout the evening on the field behind the leisure centre until 10.30pm with performances from Soundbites, Ruff Diamond, The Ukey D’ukes and more.

On Sunday there is a car boot sale at Grange Leisure from 8am-11am. Sellers can arrive from 7.30am – Cars £6, Small Vans £8, Transits £10.

There will also be Picnic & Praise in the marquee behind the Leisure Centre - bringing Stratton’s Churches together from 11am ending with a community picnic. Those taking part are asked to bring rugs and refreshments.
