AUSTRALIA is set to be bewitched by the powers of a Swindon superfan next month, as a Harry Potter enthusiast appears on a national documentary.

Tina Davies, 56, of Hanson Close, Shaw featured on BBC 3 documentary Tom Felton: Meet the Superfans which was shown in March.

The documentary saw the former super villain Tom, who played Draco Malfoy in the films travel the world meeting his biggest fans - and try to understand why Tina has been such a fan of his for a decade.

Tina was amazed to find that out that the documentary will be aired down under on channel ABC 2 next month.

“I just can’t believe it that people on the other side of the world will be able to see me , it’s completely surreal to think about how it’s all taken off," Tina said.

“I’ve had people on Twitter in India saying they’ve seen me on the show and it’s still lovely to hear from them all.”

The former check-out operator was first put under a spell by Harry Potter’s arch-enemy Draco Malfoy in 2004 after watching the first film.

A dozen meetings with the actor followed, with Tina meeting Tom’s friends, family and long-term girlfriend Jade during her ten years of support.

After personally asking Tina to be in the show, Tom visited Tina at her Swindon home last year where she was interviewed among signed photos and memorabilia featuring the star.

Since the filming Tom has tweeted Tina his support. With the star now filming in London his number-one fan is hoping to see him on a weekend visit.

“I’ll be going up to London to have a chat with him. I just want to catch up about the documentary because it’s been such a whirlwind since then," she said.

"I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll see him."
