TROWBRIDGE Arts will host an exhibition of more than 60 pieces of contemporary wood-turned art at the town hall this Friday.

The exhibition, which will be opened by Trowbridge Mayor Roger Andrews, will include pieces never seen in public before.

A total of 50 pieces of art selected at this summer's Association of Woodturners of Great Britain 2015 International Woodturning Seminar will be on display, including work from internationally renowned and top UK turners.

Tracy Sullivan, director of Trowbridge Arts, said: “We are really excited to be hosting this exhibition and must say a huge thanks to John Aiken who has worked with the Association of Woodturners to secure this exhibition for Trowbridge.

“The exhibitions we host have really grown a reputation for being diverse, inspiring and of the highest quality and we know this one will not disappoint.

“Our exhibitions entice many different people into the Town Hall, whether art enthusiasts or curious passers-by, we really welcome and encourage people to just pop in and see what they think.”

The Woodturners exhibition is open Monday-Saturday from 10am-4pm until Saturday October 10.
