GRAB your destiny but do it my way' is the message from Paul Sturrock as he lays down the law in training.

The manager felt too many players had done their own thing at Bristol Rovers and that will not be tolerated against Walsall.

And while finger nails are being understandably chewed, the manager is looking to everyone to take a deep breath.

He said: "I've said all along it would go to the last game and I'm afraid to say I've had my wish. But if everyone thinks about it realistically, if you were told at the start of the season that you were going to have a three point lead, a four goal lead, going into the last game at home, you'd bite their hands off.

"That's the scenario we have at this minute. The nervousness, yes, will be in us, the nervousness will be in the fans.

"But I'm hoping we can come together, fans, players, everybody involved on Saturday and really rally the troops right through the 90 minutes through disappointment, elation whatever.

"This is a team game for Swindon on Saturday and our 12th man is going to be sitting in those stands.

"It will make for a loud afternoon but the important thing for us is to appreciate that we've 90 minutes to win this match.

"We're playing a good side with some good players and we're going to have to be at the top of our game if we're going to be able to come through."

Sturrock feels Town must win as he suspects the scoreboard operator at the National Hockey Stadium could be busy.

He said: "I do expect the goal difference to be eroded dramatically which means we've got to get a result, do our business, not be waiting on other people to do our business.

"Destiny is ahead of us. We've got to go and grab it. The boys have responded to my criticisms and my conversation on monday and we've trained very hard, back to being a normal' training week.

"I do feel we've got over the disappointment of last Saturday.

"In training I'm putting to the letter of the law what I want.

"If we're going to go down losing we'll go down the Paul Sturrock way rather than through their thoughts on how the game should be played.

"And the 11 players picked are going to have to do to the letter of the law what I'm looking for.

"It would be a killer blow to have to play in the play-offs after doing so well in the last seven or eight games.

"It's not impossible to go through the play offs but let's not discuss that.

"What I want to discuss is that we are in a situation where we have to go out and win a football game.

"We don't want to think about draws, what's happening else where.

"We have to be the offensive, positive side trying to score the goals we need to win a football game."
