VISIT the Great Western Brick Show at STEAM at the weekend and be taken back to Roman times - LEGO® style.

Plastic brick marvels have been painstakingly created for the annual exhibition which runs from 10am until 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday,

Martin Long, president of the Brickish Association and co-organiser of the show, said: “One of the star displays will be a superbly detailed model built by the Bricks to the Past history fans.

“They have brought back to life a lost fort and its surrounding landscape, including farms, a Celtic village, barrows, graveyards, bath houses and a full working Roman fort.

"At more than five metres long and two metres wide, this LEGO® creation is based on actual forts along Hadrian’s Wall and represents the rich history and architecture along Rome’s northern frontier."

LEGO® fans of all ages are invited to take part in building a giant LEGO® mosaic over the weekend which will then be displayed on the show’s official website at www.greatwesternbrickshow.com.
