FITNESS dance group Pole-Da-Cise will be balancing and swinging their way through Westbury’s White Horse Country Park this weekend, as the group holds its tenth annual charity show.

Founded in 2006, the company has raised more than £25,000 for charities in that time and will look to raise further funds for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance at this year’s event.

Owner and founder of the group, Lisa Henderson, said: “Pole-Da-Cise is a group of ladies of all different ages, shapes and sizes and we do all sorts of fitness dance performances.

“Every event has raised thousands of pounds. We’re proud of our members and we’re hoping that this is going to be the biggest one yet.

“I wouldn’t call it an anniversary but it is quite poignant for us.”

Offering dance classes in both Westbury and Melksham, the group will be performing from 8pm on Saturday at the country park on Coach Road.

Mrs Henderson added: “I set up the business over ten years ago and we were just a local fitness club which ran a couple of days a week.

“We decided to put on a little show which was really successful and it just got bigger and bigger each year.

“The youngest person we have performing this year will be 15 years old and the oldest will be someone in their late fifties

“These ladies are not professionals and they come from all forms of life but it’s a massive big deal for them because they are actually paying to perform.”
