A MAJOR charity is warning Hampshire residents to stay safe as winter comes.
The British Red Cross is offering first aid courses to make sure people are prepared for tricky weather as the evenings get darker earlier and the ground becomes wet and icy.
It comes as the Health and Safety Executive reports the majority of slip, trip and fall injuries are reported in autumn.
A Red Cross spokesman said: “Make sure you're prepared this autumn by booking a first aid course from the British Red Cross; we provide quality training that helps reduce risks and saves lives in the workplace.
“We are the only national first aid training provider to include practical, hands-on automated external defibrillator (AED) awareness sessions using trainer AEDs on all three day first aid at work and two day requalification courses.”
