A 97-year-old woman died in three-vehicle crash at Netheravon today.

Police were called to the scene shortly after 1pm, and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road between the Mill Road and the Pigott Close junction was closed for more than five hours while crash scene investigators worked to gather evidence.

Police are asking any witnesses to the collision to come forward.

PC Hutton, of the Tri Force Roads Policing Unit, said: “On Tuesday, November 17, at approximately 1.15pm, a three vehicle road traffic collision occurred at the A345 at Netheravon.

“As a result of the collision, a 97-year-old female was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The road is currently closed to allow for a police investigation.
