IT was a packed house at The Oasis on Friday night when indie rockers The 1975 rolled into town to put on a high-energy performance.

The quartet opened the show in a blaze of pyrotechnics as they stormed the stage with their latest critically acclaimed hit Love Me drawing screams from the crowd.

A mammoth 17-song synth laden setlist featured a crop of new tunes from the band's sophomore album including She's American, fallingforyou and fan favourite Somebody Else.

Support act Ratboy warmed up the excited crowds with a blast of teen rock/punk before the main event.

The 1975 delighted fans by returning to the stage for a high octane encore featuring smash hit songs Medicine, Chocolate and Sex.

Fronted by Matt Healy, the band also includes Ross MacDonald, Adam Hann, and George Daniel.

The tour, which has seen the Manchester band play dates across the country, came as they announced their follow-up album 'I Like It When You Sleep For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It’ which will be released in February 2016.

The Oasis is the latest stop on the band's 2015 tour with the show heading to Boston, USA this week.

Gig goers in Swindon took to social media to show their enjoyment of the gig.
