A 44-YEAR-OLD who died from a fire aboard his canal barge in Bradford on Avon on January 10 has been confirmed as Bristol man Paul Wright.
Mr Wright’s body was found on his bedroom floor of the red canal boat by Wiltshire Fire and Rescue lying on his bedroom floor.
The vessel was moored on the Kennet & Avon canal by Moulton Drive, Bradford on Avon, and was found ablaze by a passer-by in the early hours of the Sunday morning.
An inquest into Mr Wright’s death was opened and adjourned on January 15 at Wiltshire Coroners' Court in Salisbury by Wiltshire senior coroner David Ridley.
Police are treating his death as accidental. The full inquest at Salisbury is expected to take place in April or May.
