A 50-year-old man from Avebury has suffered serious injuries after colliding with a tree and has been airlifted to hospital.
The man was driving a blue Vauxhall towards Marlborough along Free’s Avenue in Rockley when the collision happened on Saturday morning at 7.45am.
He was flown to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with multiple injuries.
PC David Williams from the roads policing unit, said: “The road was closed for three hours to allow for medical treatment of the casualty and for collision investigation.
“Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, who have not already identified themselves, or may have seen the Vauxhall prior to the collision.
