A MAN has died following a collision near Chippenham.
The man, aged in his 60s from the Chippenham area, was driving a Peugeot Bipper van along Maud Heath's Causeway east, from the direction of Chippenham, just after 1.40pm today when the van left the carriageway and collided with a hedge, near Langley Burrell.
A police spokesman said: "It is believed the man had suffered a medical episode and there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
"CPR was carried out by passing members of the public before paramedics arrived but unfortunately, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Our thoughts are with the man's family and friends at this sad time.
"A post mortem will take place next week."
The road was closed for about three hours to allow collision investigation to be carried out.
Any witnesses to the collision can call Tri-force Roads Policing on 101.
