A poll of Wiltshire residents on favourite first dance wedding songs has revealed you can't beat experience over youth when it comes to choosing that all important track.

Of those asked 26 per cent rated Andy Williams' Can't Take My Eyes off You above the modern classic Angels by Robbie Williams.

Robbie was only just pipped to the post, getting 23 per cent of the votes but he shares second place with Whitney Houston and her 15 year-old chart topper I Will Always Love You.

The survey commissioned by Brandedmedia, a CD and DVD duplication and commercial print specialist, asked people in Wiltshire and the South West to choose their top three first dance songs if they were to marry or marry again.

Old Romantics

The 18-24-year-olds questioned seem to think the old romantic songs are the best. Surprisingly, they chose Whitney as their favourite (36 per cent), who was number one in the charts 15 years ago when they were in nappies or still at primary school.

Their grandparent's generation agrees, with 40 per cent making Whitney their number one in the romance stakes.

More predictably, the 65 plus age group opted for Andy Williams as their favourite choice.
