SHOPPERS had a lucky escape this morning when a car crashed into the front of a Trowbridge supermarket.
Police were called to the Tesco store on County Way at 11.15am after an elderly man drove his blue Honda Concerto into a pillar at the front of the building.
The driver, who is believed to be from Trowbridge, suffered a head wound and was treated at the scene by paramedics.
He was removed from the vehicle shortly after 11.30am and taken to hospital.
Nobody else was injured in the incident.
