WESTBURY-based Mercedes-Benz dealer, Rygor, has announced three charities it will support for 2016-2017.

The group, based in the West Wilts Trading Estate, has decided to support the James Hopkins Trust, Dorothy House Hospice Care and Bath Cats and Dogs Home.

Over the course of the next year, Rygor will hold fundraising events for these three charities, which have been voted by company staff.

Tim Stacey, managing director at Rygor, said: “Rygor’s Charities of the Year was a new initiative which we launched for the first time in 2015 and following its success, I am thrilled to be able to announce this year’s charities.

“Our team is dedicated to giving back to local communities and causes, which is why they have been key decision makers in choosing which charities Rygor will fundraise for over the next year.

“We look forward to helping each of our chosen charities, by coming together as a team to help make a difference.”

Staff at Rygor wanted to support charities which benefit the local community they work in, with all three charities having offices in and around Westbury.

Emily Knight, events fundraiser at Dorothy House Hospice Care, said: "We are delighted that Rygor’s staff has chosen us as a Charity of the Year.

“As a local, independent charity we provide the vast majority of our care in the community and rely upon the shared values of local businesses across our 700sq miles.

“One in three people will be touched by hospice care in their lives, and we are thrilled that Rygor is supporting us, so that we can continue to provide end of life care in our community, when it matters most."
