THE town centre of Bradford on Avon will be without its post office until September 8 due to refurbishing work.

The former Budgens Store, in Bridge Yard, was taken over last month by Co-operative and according to Post Office officials the extensive refitting of the store will take around eight weeks to complete.

A Post Office spokesman said: "The Post Office has been closed since July 12 for an extensive refurbishment. It is envisaged that the work will take approximately eight weeks to complete, following which the service will re-open on Thursday, September 8 at 9am. We apologise for any inconvenience caused during the necessary work.”

Alternative branches include the Winsley Road Post Office, The Lower Westwood one in Tynings Way, The Winsley Post Office in Tyning Road and the Hilperton Marsh Post Offices.
