POLICE have issued detailed descriptions of two teenagers on mountain bikes they want to speak to over a what seems to have been a road rage incident in Drakes Way.

A man and a woman were approached by the two boys who shouted abuse at the couple and then threatened the man with a claw hammer and knife, just outside the car park area of Big Yellow Storage between 2.30pm and 2.45pm last Wednesday.

Both youths are described being white, slim aged 16 or 17, and about 5ft 5ins tall.

Once is said to have had very pale skin and bright ginger hair.

He was wearing an Adidas jacket with a large Aidas logo across the front, black jogging bottoms and a gold rope-like chain which came down to his mid-chest. He was riding a black mountain bike.

The other mountain biker was wearing jeans and a dark-coloured top.

PC Tracy McClafferty said: "This was a particularly traumatic experience for this couple, luckily no-one was hurt, but they were left shaken.

"We would like to speak to the two boys in relation to this or anyone who recognises their descriptions.

"Also, this is a busy road so someone must have seen or heard something suspicious. If that was you, please contact me."

Anyone who can help with enquiries should contact PC McClafferty on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
