A VAN driver who that misjudged a low bridge is causing rush hour chaos in the centre of town.
Drivers are having to queue along Station Road and Great Western Way due to the obstruction under the railway bridge on Corporation Street.
The bridge, clearly marked with the words 'low bridge' and a height restriction of 3.1 metres, is a key link route for passing through the town.
The driver of the van is currently working to deflate his tyres in an effort to continue under the bridge safely.
Wiltshire Police are in attendance at the scene.
Thamesdown Transport diverted its 11/12 and 15 services via Great Western Way/County Road and Manchester Road.
- The van was able to be driven away within an hour.
UPDATE: Good news the lorry stuck under White House Bridges has been removed, so normal service resumed on 11/12&15.
