A PROFESSIONAL photographer who worked at a photographic studio in the centre of Swindon has appeared in court charged with three cases of making indecent photographs of a child.
Brian Douglas Claassen, 40, who gave his address as Valentine Close, Manea, March, Cambridgeshire, appeared before Swindon magistrates yesterday.
He faced one charge of making an indecent photograph of a child, graded as Category A, at Swindon between May 15, 2012 and June 2, 2016, a second charge of making an indecent photograph of a child, graded as Category B, at Swindon between the same dates, and a third charge of making an indecent photograph of a child, graded as Category C, at Swindon between the same dates.
He gave the court no indication of how he would plead.
Prosecuting, Pauline Lambert told the court that at the time of the alleged offences Mr Claassen was working worked as a professional photographer at Lifestyle Portraits Ltd in Swindon town centre.
The case was adjourned to be heard at Swindon Crown Court on January 6 at 9.30am.
