John Christopher gave up a career in acting to become a singer/songwriter and master guitarist.

John is one half of the duo, We Ghosts, teaming up with Swedish songbird, Jen Woodall, better known as JJ Woodhall.

Tonight We Ghosts will be performing their haunting set at Swindon's Beehive pub, Prospect Hill, Old Town in Swindon.

Jen is the daughter of a film director and an actress. She grew up in Gothenburg, Sweden, and trained under opera singer Monica Janner, recording her first song, Poisoned Sleep when she was 15.

John was drama training in London when a major recording deal lured him first to Southern France and then all around Europe performing as front man with a band and as a solo artist.

He came to Gothenburg heard the crystal tones of Jen and We Ghosts became a reality. The name was taken from a song John had written and used regularly when performing live, but it also suited the style of music created by his guitar fusion of jazz, pop, folk and rock, backing Jen's compelling vocals.

John also takes lead vocals on some of the songs and, when they are recording Richard Rat Westlake becomes the third member of We Ghosts, as co producer, mixer and masterer.

When he is available to play live Richard picks up his bass or guitar synth to sprinkle his fairy dust into the mix. Richard is the guitarist with Gothenburg band Ladida that were previously called Cat Killers.

We Ghosts signature eerie sound will bewitch the crowd from 8.30pm tonight at the free gig. For more details call 01793 523187 or visit www.bee-hive.co.uk - Flicky Harrison
