ARTISTS and crafters from Corsham and the surrounding area are being asked to get creative and enter this year’s Peacock Arts Trail.

A total of 55 artists, sculptors and artisans took part in 2015 for the biannual event, and organisers are hoping just as many will take part this year when it runs between September 30 and October 8.

This year will be the third time the event has been held, and allows entrants to showcase their work either in their own studios or in public buildings.

Named after the peacocks that are a familiar sight to Corsham residents, the Peacock Trail covers Corsham, Chippenham, Biddestone, Box, Lacock, Yatton Keynall, Kington Langley, Foxham, Holt and surrounding villages.

Organiser Leonora Martin said: “Each year we are blown away by the quality and diversity of work displayed by local artists; both amateur and professional.

“Feedback from previous exhibitors says that they have definitely benefitted from joining us.

“Participants have a good deal of flexibility regarding opening times, our only stipulation is that they are open all day at weekends.

“We look forward to seeing previous exhibitors take part in the trail again and welcoming new people.

“We’re happy to talk to artists about their ideas, help artists from outside the immediate area to find a venue and to answer any questions. It should be a great event.”

Registration opens from January 15 until April 30, and for more information visit www.peacockartstrail.co.uk or email peacockartstrail@gmail.com
