DEVIZES MP Claire Perry has pledged her commitment to honouring those murdered in the Holocaust by signing a book in Westminster.
She added her name to the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Book of Commitment and paid tribute to the Holocaust survivors who work tirelessly to educate young people.
Holocaust Memorial Day on Friday 27 January marks the liberation of the Nazi concentration and death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, the site of the largest mass murder in history.
Over the next few days thousands of commemorative events will take place across the country which will remember the victims of the Holocaust and other genocides.
After signing the Book of Commitment, Ms Perry said: “Holocaust Memorial Day is an important opportunity to remember the victims and survivors of the Holocaust, and make sure they are not forgotten. I encourage everyone to mark this event and to join the fight against prejudice and intolerance.”
