THREE boys from Malmesbury Scout group have earned their silver awards, the highest achievement for Cubs.
Theo, Cameron and Ben, all aged 11, took part in wide range of activities in order to achieve their awards, such as camping, night hikes, sailing rafts, shelter building, cooking on open fires, and even Tai Chi. They also researched and played Cub games from other countries.
Mike Hussey, Cub and Scout leader said: "I know how much hard work they have put into this award, this is a great achievement and the boys should be very proud of themselves, as I know all the leaders are of them."
All three boys have now moved to to Scouts, and are now working towards the gold award. This involves more challenges and activities which require more responsibility and independence.
The Malmesbury Scout group has around 120 scouts and 20 leaders. The group are looking to expand and cater for more children, so would be interested in hearing from any potential leaders.
